Hi,
I've been playing Mabi NA for almost two years, and started playing Taiwan Mabi as sort of a tourist. I'm posting this message so that I can ask for translation help, since the board won't let me post a link to an image until I've posted something else (I guess). |

Hi,nice to meet you~
Watching your picture appear chinese [黛玉] ,so I think maybe your Chinese ability is better than most people in guild.
I would like to recommend some friends below whose English ability is better than me ,even if I want to recommend myself. XDDDD

Welcome, Just add one of us online, and hopefully we can help your tour around TW mabinogi. I understand that some NA people would like to see things first hand before getting them *COUGHG9COUGH*, but if it gets us someone to talk to for a little, I'm not complaining.

im Xidozuo, but you can call me Arufonsu or Aru
i dont have chinese abilities so i dont think that im going to be usefull
with translations for you (sorry ;( )
anyway, nice too meet you..
and how shadow says, hope you will stay with us long time

Thank you for your kind words.
When I first designed this character, I came up with the idea that I wanted a black and green color scheme, probably because I was a long-time fan of the Green Lantern comic-book superhero. The Golden Age Green Lantern had a daughter named Jade, and I thought Black Jade would make a good name. Since I am also a fan of Asian culture (an ignorant fan mostly), I thought the Chinese (well, Pinyin) version of the name would make a good choice. Google translated this for me, into both Pinyin (Daiyu) and Traditional Chinese, as you see in the picture.
Too bad I can't copy text from the Mabi client onto clipboard and get Google to translate it for me! |

Do I understand you correctly? I can move an existing character to a different server?

Oh, it will require that I level many times before I could do a shadow mission, I think. On North American Tarlach server, Daiyu is total level 405 and maybe could do it ina few weeks when we get G9.

Oh my, are these pictures of Lin Daiyu? Is there an anime version of Dream of the Red Mansion (yes i do know about this classic work of Chinese literature) ?

Unfortunately, you can NOT move an existing character to a different server. You will have to make a new character if you want to join the 貝婷 server.
The reason why he recommended you to join this 貝婷 server is because it is probably one of the bigger English communities on TW Mabinogi. I remember one other server had quite a few English speakers studying in a TW international school on another server, however, there were not many I think.
