What is wine?

Its basically aged grape juice. In mabinogi, you cannot drink your own wine, but you could give it to the "priest"/bestiality guy in Tara to test it in return for EXP.

Whats so good about it?

The amount of EXP earned by doing wine can vary from 5k exp to 9w EXP depending how well you make it.

By making Exceptional wine, you can earn Orders from Corrib, which are items required to do the Grape Field mission in Tara.

How to make the wine?
First you need 20 Grapes, which you can obtain from the Vines all around the area.

After getting 20 grapes, bring them to the npc and speak to him about wine making, and thats it!

... well not entirely...

Aside of starting up, theres a mini game that you much play once every 23-24 hours in order to keep your wine's quality up.

Wine Quality
This determines how well you've made your wine. The higher it is, the more exp you will gain, and the chance of earning order scrolls higher as well.

There are 4 factors that will determine your wine's quality.

Acidity, Purity, Freshness, and Age.

keep Acidity Purity and freshness' score up high, while waiting for the Age to increase to make higher quality wine.

The Mini-game

There are 3 things you can do in this minigame. Set the speed, and poke bubbles or add water.

Clicking all the bubbles that pop out will keep your Purity score up, while speed will affect your Acidity... so it is suggested to use maximum speed and click everything you can, or increase the speed a bit and click everything... in the end it comes down to how well you can perform, and whether your willing to lose some points in one area to keep the other side up.

Freshness - is there to make you want to be on time with your Wine Racking. If you forget to do wine racking after the 24 hours is up, your Freshness score will drop. the longer you dont rack, the lower freshness will drop.

Aging - This will go up over time. 24 hours will add about 14-15 points here. If you are only doing this for EXP, then it is suggested that you do about 3 days of wine racking for 45 points, then Finish your aging.

From test that I've done... 3 days of proper wine racking can net you about 63 000 EXP and 2 Order scrolls for the wine mission. 4 days is about 66000 EXP.

Mission nets you 14000+ Exp, depending how well you can do it. I suggest getting Overpowered Ice Mines for the Guarding Corrib Mission. (or bring a friend with decently ranked WindMill)

If your lazy, you could always leave your wine for a full week without playing the minigame, and you'll get about 5-10k exp for it. This is not suggested as ... its kind of a waste of time.

Also... you could always collect a bunch of wine, and use it all up in 1 time to easily earn the Lv 50 at age 10 Title....

it should take about... 50-80 bottles of Wine (assuming they are 3days each) to get from level 1 to level 50... haha.... wow thats actually a lot... :P

but none the less.... an inventory with around 10 bottles can easily hit past level 30 in a day without doing any fighting.

Also Wine made by players are not tradable.



Use left click on the Bubbles, and hold the right mouse button to drag the valve to increase the rate of bubbles.

Location

It's a connection path between Emain Mache and Tara.

Background

There is 2 location to make wine. One located at the North (Lesard's wine cellar), one located at the South (Eluned's Wine Cellar).

There is 2 kinds of grapes: Errans Sauvignon (North) and Blago Noir (South)

Please note if you would like to make wine with Lesard's wine cellar, you have to gather Errans Sauignon grape, and if you want to make wine at Eluned's Wine Cellar, you will have to use Blago Noir grape. Gather 20 grape and speak with the wine cellar manager to rank the grape. You can't make 2 kind at the same time. Lesard and Eluned is rival of each other, that's why the farm is structure at North and the other at South.

How to gather Grape
Bare hand and click on the grape in the field.

After minimum of 3 days, you will receive Errans Cru or Grand Blago. When you obtain a wine, you can show it to Pencast (there is a button to make him drink, do not drag and give)

If the wine given is good quality, he will give you mission scroll "Wine's Fragrance" or "Protect the Halibu Valley" (the map north of Tara)

To get "Order of Corrib", you need to exchange with "Errans Cru"
To get "Order of Blago", you need to exchange with "Grand Blago"

Normal quality gets 2 orders
Good quality gets 3 orders
Extraordinary quality gets 4 orders

Title
"Wine Hero" - best quality from Errans Cru
Str + 15, Luck + 15, Def +1, Prot +1

"Goddess's Dew" - best quality from Grand Blago
MP + 15, Int + 15, Dex + 15

Please note that you can only choose one or the other, once u gain one of these title, you will have no access to the other one.

These top quality wine can be purchase from Pencast and all grocery stores, named E.O. Errans Cru or E.O. Grand Blago. Each will cost 5000 and will be in store for 1 week. After a week, 10% of the sale will be written on a check and send to the player. Each Erinn day will sell 1 bottle of wine.

Use Grand Blago wine: Str +30, Luck +30, Int +30, Dex -30
Use Errans Cru wine: Str -30, Luck + 30, Int +30, Dex +30

Freshness smell of Wine (?) [葡萄酒的香氣] - Uses Order Of Corrib (from making Decent or higher Errans Cru)

some Guardian mountain (or guardian of ____ mountain?)[守護克里布山谷] - Uses some order from... the clothing girl... dun remember her name lol. (from making decent or higher Grand Blago)

The right click button is to control the scroll bar on top right, that is the amount of bubbles coming out. Hence, we doesn't need to clicky on the scroll bar to increase the bubble frequency. Hold right click push your cursor up will increase and vice versa. ~_~
